ROGERS — Terry Alan Madson, age 74, of Rogers and formerly of Hot Springs, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2023.

He was born on March 26, 1948, in Wilma, Minn., the son of Arthur Madson and Norene Weiker Madson. On Dec. 15, 1973, he married the love of his life, Rita Tlach. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Terry graduated from Grove City High School, Grove City, Minn., in 1966. The following November, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving three years and was a Vietnam veteran. He graduated from Mankato State University, Mankato, Minn., with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in urban regional developmen­t. He was the city planner of Thief River Falls, Minn., for two years before relocating to St. Paul, Minn.

In 1988, he moved his family to Hot Springs and later started Pattered Concrete Design Inc., before retiring in 2016. Terry was proud to be associated with the Garland County Habitat for Humanity, pouring many of their driveways. He was also a lector at St. Mary’s of the Springs Catholic Church.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Rita Madson; two daughters, Amy (Brent) Gautier of Rogers and Bethany Madson of Baton Rouge, La.; three sons, USAF Master Sgt. Nickolas (Xandria) Madson of Eagle, Wisc., Matthew (Natalie) Madson of Cypress Lake, Texas, and Kyle Madson of Rogers; 11 grandchild­ren; one sister, Betty Harris of Sacramento, Calif.; extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

A Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 27, 2023, at St. Mary’s of the Springs Catholic Church.

Interment will be in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
