Historian Ron Fuller will present the program “A Murder in Little Rock, 1835” at the next meeting of NSDAR John Percifull Chapter at 11 a.m. Thursday.

The presentation by Fuller, who grew up in Hot Springs and owns a public relations firm in Little Rock, will feature “a number of characters from Arkansas history and is an entertaining tale of frontier justice.”

Fuller, a 1970 graduate of Henderson State University, is a former U.S. Army officer who served on both active duty and 16 years in the U.S. Army Reserve, and served three terms as a state representative.

“Through his ancestors he is a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, the Sons of Union Veterans and the SCV, having family that fought on both sides in the Civil War.

His family has served in someone’s army since the French and Indian Wars,” a news release said.

“He has a great love of military and Arkansas history, and he has written for numerous historical publications, as well as feature articles for the Arkansas Gazette and AY Magazine.

He is a private collector of military uniforms and artifacts from WWI to the present day,” it said.

Fuller is active in numerous central Arkansas civic organizations, including the VFW and DAV, and chairs the Arkansas Macarthur Military Museum Heritage Board. In 2018, he was appointed by then-gov. Asa Hutchinson to the Arkansas History Commission.

He recently has become a member of the Garland County

Historical Society. “When he is not busy researching or writing about history, he is chasing his four grandchildren around,” the release said.

The business meeting will follow Fuller’s presentation, and there will be brown bag lunch and time of fellowship to follow.

Visitors are welcome. “If you have a Revolutionary War Ancestor, please come and find out more about DAR,” the release said.
