“This Celtic Women style concert celebrates Gaelic tradition and joy with lively folk tunes, moving ballads, and sacred blessings, through a unique blend of various traditional and contemporary Irish, Scottish and English selections,” the release said.

“These tunes are performed by the Muses Troupe lead professional female vocalists and instrumentalists, young artists, lovely dancers, and student vocal apprentices, in solos, duets, and various ensembles.”

The Muses’ guest artists will be Irish harp/flute duo Chaski, Shana Norton and Adrienne Inglis, of Austin, Texas, return to Hot Springs. Inglis plays principal flute with the Round Rock Symphony Orchestra and a “truckload of different woodwind instruments from around the world, including flutes from the tiny penny whistle to the large bass flute.” Norton plays principal harp with the Mid-Texas Symphony. “Her love for Celtic music was sparked when she took a trip to Scotland, where she learned from Scottish women how to play the harp entirely by ear.”

“Treasured by young and old alike, Celtic Lore abounds with tales of the sea, friendship, love, loss, and sacred blessings,” the release said.

The Muses’ “Celtic Spring” concert shares these tales with familiar songs, such as “Danny Boy,” “Parting Glass,” “Rocky Road to Dublin,” “The Fields of Athenry” and “May the Road Rise to Meet You.”

“Highly entertaining and much in the style of the Celtic Women, this concert features exceptional professional performances by Muses sopranos,” Deleen Davidson, Ruth’e Korelitz, Katy Yerina Brockinton, Sophia Wright, Rebecca Seewald, and Erica Schoelkopf, professional instrumentalists, a mixedvoice ensemble of Muses Young Artists and talented dancers. “These extraordinary performers will touch your hearts as they present beautiful and uplifting music,” the release said.
