About: “The Lakeside School District is one of seven K-12 independent school districts in Garland County. The district serves an area of 61 square miles and is located around the city of Hot Springs, which supports a population of approximately 40,000. Much of the district surrounds Lakes Hamilton and Catherine. The area is ideal for recreational camping and water sports.

“Lakeside School District and its individual schools have received many national and state awards and distinctions in academics. We have four priority goals for students at Lakeside schools: to maximize individual student potential, to enhance a positive, safe and healthy school climate, to maintain fiscal responsibility, and promote interaction between the school district and our community. With a total enrollment of over 3,500 students, and over 300 dedicated professional and support staff, children are given the individual attention they need in order to excel.

“Lakeside schools are an enriching and safe place for our students to learn and grow. Thank you for the opportunity to share in your child’s education. At Lakeside, Kids First is our motto! We believe in showing up and working hard every day and expect the same from our students. Cultivating this strong work ethic will help our students succeed in whatever area they decide to pursue. Thank you to our parents, patrons, and community members for your continued support as we work together to prepare our students for their future.

“All prospective students and families are invited to check out Lakeside firsthand. Come visit our campus to meet faculty, students, and staff while on a walking tour of our District.”
