HSACA unveils theme for ’24 Arts & The Park, ‘Celebrate Imagination’

-

The Hot Springs Area Cultural Alliance on Monday announced the theme of this year’s Arts & The Park festival will be “Celebrate Imagination,” focusing on “cleverness, originality, ingenuity, and the limitlessness of the mind,” a news release said.

“HSACA also invites the community to send them imaginative programming suggestions that fit the festival theme,” the release said.

The 11th annual festival will take place from Friday, April 26, through Sunday, May 5, at various locations around Hot Springs.

“The 2024 Arts & The Park: Celebrate Imagination festival asks artists and participants to enjoy outside-the-box thinking and allow their imaginations to run free. The festival will offer opportunities for people of all ages to explore new artistic techniques through workshops and demonstrations and enjoy local artists’ imaginative expression throughout the 10-day festival,” the release said.

“HSACA is looking for community members with unique artistic skills or talents that they would like to share by hosting a workshop event, or any suggestions for artistic experiences that do not currently exist in the area, to contact them at liz@HotSpringsArts.org.”

Arts & The Park 2024 will also continue with fundamental programming and events such as “Art Moves,” the outdoor art exhibition along the Hot Springs Greenway Trail, Art Springs at Hill Wheatley Plaza, The Glover Awards for Songwriting, Artist Studio Tours, Virtual Cooking, Gallery Walk, daily events at the Garland County Library, and will incorporate the “Celebrate Imagination” theme where applicable, the release said.

Art Springs at Hill Wheatley Plaza will again be the festival’s opening weekend on Saturday, April 27, and Sunday, April 28.

The application portal for artist booth space at Art Springs is now open on the HSACA website: http://www.HotSpringsArts.org Submissions to the Glover Awards for excellence in songwriting will open in mid-February, and any artist interested in opening up their private studio space for public viewing during Studio Tours on Saturday, May 4, and Sunday, May 5, can now email liz@HotSpringsArts.org.
