Magic Springs Announces Education in Motion Days

-

Magic Springs Theme and Water Park will offer a day of “fun and learning outside the classroom” during Education in Motion Days on Friday, May 10 and Friday, May 17.

During EIM Days, the park will be open only to pre-ticketed school groups, with significantly discounted ticket prices and special educational presenters, a news release said.

“We love taking education beyond the classroom and having some fun along the way,” Jessyka Hanna, general manager of Magic Springs, said in the release. “Education in Motion Days are all about combining the two, keeping it educational through engaging presenters from local institutions and organizations.”

During the May 10 event, only the theme park will be open. On May 17, both the theme park and water park will open. Operating hours on both EIM Days will be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Educational presenters confirmed for EIM Days include the Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences, and the Arts; Arkansas State University; Entergy; Girl Scouts Diamonds of Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas; Hot Springs Police Department; Lake Catherine State Park staff; Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge; and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Lake Ouachita.

Tickets for EIM Days are just $19.99 plus tax per person, with an optional catered meal, with a choice of burger or hot dog, plus chips, cookie and drink, for $9.99 per person. The catered meal is available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day at the park’s picnic pavilions.

For schools unable to attend during EIM Days, Magic Springs also offers School Fundays on weekends May 4-19 and daily May 25-31. “These days feature the same deeply-discounted ticket price of $19.99 per person for school groups during regular operating hours. School groups who visit those days can purchase meal deal vouchers for $12.99 per person,” the release said.

The deadline to order EIM and School Funday tickets is May 1. Orders placed after the deadline will not receive the same discounted rates.
