PEARCY — Samuel Mark Keding, 41, of Pearcy, Ark., crossed the river to meet his Maker after a nine-month battle with stage 4 esophageal cancer on April 9, 2024.

He was born March 6, 1983, in Salem, Ark., to Frederick Carl Keding and Linda Sharon (Martin) Keding.

Samuel was fascinated with ancient history and loved diving into and studying the Word of God, which he loved to share with others through his teachings.

Samuel was preceded in death by his grandparen­ts, Elmer and Golden Martin, Albert Carl and Irene Keding; uncles, John Keding, Anthony Martin and David Martin.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara F. (Lapp) Keding; and six children, Lilyanne Sharon, 15, Nathanael Peter, 14, John Gideon, 11, Rose Serenity, 10, Acacia Rachel, 7, Frederick Amos, 2. His parents and three brothers, John, Albert and David Paul Keding; as well as numerous cousins, nephews and nieces, all whom he loved.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, April 12, at Caruth-Hale Life Celebratio­n Center (2529 Airport Road).

A celebratio­n of Samuel’s life will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Wildwood Tabernacle (623 Owl Creek Road).

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the nurses for their kindness at NPMC hospital that he worked with, and all the staff and nurses who cared for him from Elite Home Health and Gentiva Hospice, and also to all of our family and friends who helped out in many ways through his sickness.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wildwood Tabernacle.
