Spring Fling April 27-28

The Hot Springs Solid Waste Department is partnering with the Southwest Central Regional Solid Waste Management District and Garland County Environmental Services to host the annual Spring Fling event from Saturday, April 27, through Sunday, April 28.

The event will allow residents to discard of unwanted items at one of the 30-yard roll-off dumpster locations set up within the city limits, and will be held regardless of the weather.

“City residents are encouraged to clean their neighborhoods, including nearby vacant lots, and dispose of items free of charge in the nearby roll-off containers. Large or bulky items can be placed next to the container if they are too heavy to lift,” a news release said.

Hazardous waste, including paint, cleaning fluids, and batteries will not be accepted. An annual household hazardous waste collection event is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Saturday, May 18, at the Garland County Fairgrounds, 4831 Malvern Ave.
