• Nelson’s Port-a-Pit Chicken Fundraiser sponsored by the North Twp. Lapaz Fire Dept. Aux. from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the Fire Station. Cost is $7/half. Pre-sale tickets only guaranteed until 1 p.m. Pit-tatoes available $4. See any Fireman or Aux Member for pre-sale tickets.

• Tippecanoe Improvemen­t Associatio­n will be hosting a dine in and/or carry out Fish and Chicken Fry from 4 till sold out. Will be held at the Tippecanoe Community Building. There will also be a bake sale. Cost is $9 for adults and $5 for children 5-12 years old.

• Optimist Fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Bruce Ruffing Pulled Pork/Baked Beans available at the Centier Bank Parking Lot, located at Jefferson and Oak Road.

• Trinity United Methodist Church is having a Walleye Fish Sandwich with Fries, cooked by Ralph Smith, drive through at Centier Bank in Plymouth from 3-7 p.m. United Methodist Women will also be having a Bake Sale.

• Heartland Artists Acrylic Painting of Clouds using only one color plus black and white at 6 p.m. Cost is $30.

TUESDAY, MAY 18

• You or a loved one struggle with Addiction? Project Hope meets at 6 p.m. the second Tuesday of each month at David’s Courage, 10924 Lincolnway in Plymouth.

• The Knitting Group meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month at 9 a.m. at Marshall County Council on Aging/Life Enrichment Center, 1305 W. Harrison St., Plymouth. Anyone interested in joining the group to knit on your own project or learn how to knit are invited to join them. Make 2021 the year you learn a new skill.

• Kiwanis Club of Plymouth meets from 12 pm – 1 pm at Opies in Plymouth. We are a global organizati­on of volunteers dedicated to serving children. A variety of weekly community speakers.

• The Plymouth Optimist Club “Friend of Youth” meets every Tuesday at 7 a.m. at the Marshall County Community Foundation. You can join us in person or meet with us on Zoom. Not only are we involved in many community youth projects, we give four scholarshi­ps to Plymouth graduates each year and are responsibl­e to grow and plant the flowers in the downtown planters and replace them with Christmas trees in November. Food Budgeting at 10 am will be taught in person as well as virtually via Zoom. Money Conversati­ons will be taught via Zoom only. If you do not have access to the internet you may watch it at our office. The programs will be held at the Marshall County Building located at 112 W. Jefferson St. Room 304, Plymouth.

• The Plymouth Class of 1958 shall meet the month of May at Opie’s. We shall meet every Wednesday, at 11:30 a.m. We shall have Lunch together and visit for a while. We are planning our next Reunion, which will be July 17 and invitation­s will be sent out soon. Please come to our weekly luncheon. Your welcome to bring a Friend too!
