• NIPSCO Retirees luncheon will be at 11:30 a.m. at the Brass Rail, located in downtown Plymouth. All retirees, friends, and family are welcome to join.

• There are a few openings in the exercise class that meets on Tuesday and Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Life Enrichment Center/ Marshall County Council on Aging, 1305 W. Harrison St., Plymouth. • The Tippecanoe River/Wythougan Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will hold its August meeting on Tuesday evening, Aug. 9 at 7 p.m. at the Marshall County museum. The program will be “Today’s DARThe Ins and Outs.” The meeting is open and anyone who is interested is welcome to attend. The museum is located at 123 N. Michigan, Plymouth.

• Saint Joseph Health Systems is offering a free healthy lifestyle course called Health In Action.

This program will meet on Wednesdays at Marshall County Council on Aging/Life Enrichment Center, 1305 W. Harrison St., Plymouth at 9 a.m. and is completely FREE. To qualify for the program, you must be at least 18 years of age, a BMI over 25, and no previous diagnosis of type 1 or type 2 diabetes. With the Health In Action program, you will get support from a trained Lifestyle Coach, skills you need to lose weight, be more physically active and manage stress, as well as support from other participan­ts with the same goals as you. SATURDAY, AUGUST 13

• Trinity United Methodist Church will be having a Tenderloin Sandwich/Fries Drive thru at Centier Bank on W. Jefferson Street on Saturday, Aug. 13 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sandwich and fries are $12, sandwich is only $10. Prepared by Ralph Smith. United Methodist Women will also have a Bake Sale at that time.

SUNDAY, AUGUST 14

• Everyone is invited to the Plymouth Church of the Brethren annual Outdoor Service at Price’s Memorial Park with a Corn and Hot Dog Roast meal after. A relaxed worship service with a message by Pastor Tom Anders will start at 10 a.m. Enjoy lots of great Brethren fellowship with a Carry-in meal after the service. All the roasted corn and hot dogs you can eat will be provided! Bring a dish to share, your own tableware and a lawn chair. Price’s Memorial Park is located at 205 Plymouth-Goshen Trail in Plymouth Indiana. Stay afterward and enjoy the park. Bring your swimsuit and swim in the pond, go fishing (Indiana fishing license required for adults), play in the sand or enjoy the children’s play area.
