-

While seven people applied for a vacancy on the Hart District school board, District Trustee Area 3 seat, a second person dropped out of the pool of applicants Tuesday.

On Monday, applicant Ann-Marie Bjorkman told The Signal she removed her name from the running Monday morning.

On Tuesday, The Signal confirmed that Noe Garcia has also dropped out of the running for the Hart seat, according to Dave Caldwell, public information officer for the Hart District.

This brings the number of Santa Clarita residents running for the Hart Governing Board to five.

The vacancy was created by the resignation of Rob Hall who stepped down to take a position with his company’s Singapore office.
