Knights cruise in win

Trinity girls basketball defeated Guidance Charter 41-19 Thursday night on the road.

Freshman guard Riley Spector registered her first career triple-double with 13 points, 10 rebounds and 12 steals.

Sophomore point guard Trinity Towns added 13 points and six rebounds. Junior centers Ellie Howell and Ayla Mouchawar each chipped in 12 rebounds.

The Knights (6-3 overall, 3-0 in Heritage League) next hit the road to take on Pacifica Christian in a non-league game on Saturday at 5:30

Clippers, Thunder

As of The Signal’s press deadline, the Oklahoma City Thunder lead the Clippers 98-97 at the end of the third quarter.

LA’s DeAndre Jordan led all shooters with 26 points and added 16 rebounds for a double-double. Blake Griffin scored 19 points and Lou Williams notched 13 off the bench.

Flames 4, Kings 3

Tanner Pearson potted two goals for the Kings and logged one assist. Defenseman Derek Forbort added one goal.

Jonathan Quick recorded 37 saves on 41 shots.

For the Flames, Sean Monahan, Troy Brouwer, Mark Jankowski and Michael Ferland each scored one goal apiece.

Oilers 2, Ducks 1 (SO)

Ryan Kesler scored the only goal in regulation for the Ducks. Jakob Silfverber­g and Cam Fowler were credited with assists.

For the Oilers, Kris Russel scored in regulation for Connor McDavid and Milan Lucic on the assists.

Michael Cammalleri and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins each netted one in the shootout to secure the win for Edmonton.
