Cards get senior night shutout

Santa Clarita Christian School girls soccer shut out Valley Torah 18-0 at Central Park on Monday.

Sasha Ridenour had two goals in the senior night game. Christine Rivas, Catalina Sonnenberg and Samantha Toth each added goals for themselves.

Three Foothill League products made an impact in the Mad Goats’ win over Mono Thewphaing­arm in the Thailand Basketball Super League.

Golden Valley grad Taylor Statham logged a tripledoub­le with 26 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists. Fellow Grizzly Robert Looper contribute­d 20 points and eight rebounds, while Saugus grad Jawhar Purdy scored 14 points and pulled down six rebounds.

Women’s college basketball

UCLA 84, USC 70

Monique Billings recorded a double-double for the Bruins with 18 points and 11 boards. Lajahna Drummer scored 11 points and pulled down 11 rebounds.

The Trojans’ Aliyah Mazyck scored a game-high 21 points. Minyon Moore had 11 points and 11 rebounds.

Pro roundup Mavericks 91, Clippers 85

Danilo Gallinari and Tobias Harris led the Clippers with 19 points apiece as of The Signal’s pres deadline with seven minutes and 24 seconds to play in the fourth quarter.

Ducks 7, Maple Leafs 4

Rickard Rakell scored two of the Ducks’ goals, also picking up an assist, and Auston Matthews and William Nylander each had two goals for the Maple Leafs.
