A culmination of hard work
Bowman High School and Learning Post High School students graduate
More than 250 students donned their brightly colored caps and gowns on Tuesday as seniors from two unique high schools in the William S. Hart Union High School district completed their educational journey.
Friends, family and other members of the community joined the graduating seniors of Bowman High School and Learning Post High School to celebrate their great achievement on Tuesday night.
The 56 graduating students from Learning Post High School joined their families at the Canyon High School Performing Arts Center. The future enrollees of COC and other schools listened to an uplifting speech from class speaker Claire Engler before receiving the high-school diplomas they’ve worked so hard for.
Prior to the Bowman’s planned speakers and activities, Chelsea Michael Blount performed a rendition of the National Anthem for the hundreds in attendance at College of the Canyons. Families and friends in attendance for the ceremony cheered for the 17 students who received scholarships totaling $7,700.
Carla Denisse Lopez and Alanna Nicole Elliott were highlighted for their Golden State Merit diplomas, along with Delano Lee Wright, who completed a CTE Engineering Pathway. David DeJesus Islas and Andrey Chibukhchyan joined in their peers success when they each received a California Seal of Biliteracy.
