Grace Baptist is scheduled to host its annual Fall Festival to celebrate the season later this month.

The event will take place Friday, Oct. 26, at the church campus on Copper Hill Drive from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

There will be a tractor ride, live bands, a chilli cook-off, food, games, bounce houses, candy and more, said Mike Wilke, communications director at Grace Baptist Church.

Costumes are encouraged,

Wilke said. “We ask no scary costumes.”

Kids in attendance will be able to participate in box city, to create a maze out of boxes, as well as the “candy crop.”

“Candy crop is similar to trunk or treat,” Wilke said. “It has the same idea, kids gathering a bunch of candy.”

If you would like to donate candy for the church’s event that draws almost 2,000 guests each year, you can buy candy from the church’s Amazon shopping list or text “candy” to 661-254-7777.

There are designated bins around the Grace Baptist campus at any main services, according to their website. They’re looking for fun-sized, non-Halloween themed candy.

The event is free and open to the community. Food from Chick-Fil-A, the Grace Baptist coffee shop and kettle corn will be for sale during the event.

“Fall Festival is a great time to gather together in order to display and share the Good News of Jesus with each other and our community,” church members said.
