Veterans Day ceremony scheduled for Nov. 11

Oakmont of Santa Clarita is scheduled to host a free Veterans Day ceremony to honor those who have served our country.

The event is scheduled Sunday, Nov. 11 at 2:30 p.m. at their facility located on Newhall Ranch Road.

“Many of our residents are veterans themselves,” said Andi Johnson, director of corporate communicat­ions for Oakmont.

Everyone in the community is welcome to attend the event.

a charity and veterans service organizati­on that offers a variety of programs, services and events for wounded veterans, according to Oakmont’s Thursday news release.

At this event, guests will be able to meet current residents and tour the senior living community, Johnson said.
