1938-2018

On Thurs­day, Oc­to­ber 18, 2018 Shawnee Marie Dixon lov­ing mother of sons Don (Juli) Dixon and Larry (Mary­beth) Dixon; grand­mother of Sulma, Michael (de­ceased), Lisa, Daniel, Jef­frey (de­ceased), Drake and Kevin passed away at age 80 to join her only love, Ron­ald W Dixon in Heaven.

Born in Cot­ton­dale, Alabama (Oc­to­ber 7, 1938; daugh­ter of Edgar and An­nie Setser; sis­ter to sib­lings Mar­ion, Mar­garet (de­ceased), Martha, Mar­lene, Mar­vone, Mar­lin, Marc and Mar­celle) she re­mained a true Alabama Crim­son Tide fan through­out her life. She en­joyed be­ing with her fam­ily and cook­ing big feasts for the hol­i­days when she would bring ev­ery­one to­gether

for laughs, love and great mem­o­ries.

Ron­ald and Shawnee met at Leuzinger High, grad­u­ated in 1956 and mar­ried in March 1957. They moved to Sau­gus in 1964 with their two sons. She was an ex­cep­tional hair­styl­ist for many years and won sev­eral awards dur­ing her hair­style pro­fes­sion. Her fa­vorite past times were spend­ing time out out­doors, camp­ing , fish­ing, boat­ing and mo­tor­cy­cle rid­ing. She was a den mother for Cub Scouts and al­ways there to sup­port her boys in base­ball, bas­ket­ball and mo­tor­cy­cle races. She con­tin­ued to do so with her grand­chil­dren and their cho­sen sports or pas­sions. She also vol­un­teered at HMNMH and ded­i­cated a lot of her free time to re­search­ing and cre­at­ing ge­neal­ogy charts.

She will be for­ever missed. We love you Wrin­kles!

Ser­vices will be held at Eter­nal Val­ley on Sat­ur­day, No­vem­ber 10, 2018 at 1PM.
