One-Woman show at Canyon Theatre Guild

What: Laurie Morgan presents a one-woman show at Canyon Theatre Guild from Nov. 23 to Jan 17. The exhibit, “Seasons Around the World,” will include a selection of landscape, still life and floral paintings by Morgan with mediums in pastels and watercolor, acrylic and oils. Local artist since 1988, Morgan is member and past-president of Santa Clarita Artist Associatio­n and current actress and director at the Canyon Theatre Guild. First Presbyteri­an Church presents ‘The Green Velvet Christmas Dress’

What: “The most original Christmas play I’ve ever attended! An amazing and youching play.” The First Presbyteri­an Church of Newhall will be performing “The Green Velvet Christmas Dress.” This original play, written by Melea J. Brock, chronicles the 130 year journey of a very special dress. The play delivers a most amazing and touching story of hope. A portion of the play includes an interactiv­e teatime of red velvet cupcakes with the cast members!
