What: DNA test­ing is be­com­ing an in­te­gral tool in the ge­neal­o­gist tool kit, but what is it and what does it do? How can DNA ac­tu­ally help your ge­neal­ogy? We will dis­cuss the three ba­sic types of DNA for ge­netic ge­neal­ogy (au­to­so­mal, Y DNA, and mtDNA) and what they can tell you.
