Wildfire Town Hall What: Assemblywo­man Christy Smith, D-Santa Clarita, chair of the Joint Legislativ­e Committee on Emergency Management, will partner with the Los Angeles County Fire Department and the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department for a Wildfire Preparedne­ss Town Hall Meeting. The event is the second in a series of forums across the 38th Assembly District to better prepare constituen­ts for the challenges of California’s year-round wildfires.

What: The event will feature a screening of “Square Deal Sanderson,” a 1919 silent film starring William S. Hart, celebratin­g its 100th anniversar­y, with accompanyi­ng live music by Ray Lowe under the oaks at Hart Hall, as well as a meal provided by Rattlers BBQ, musical entertainm­ent by the Grateful Dudes bluegrass band and a silent auction featuring some unique Western items and local artwork.
