Beloved Mother, Grandma, Friend

Marie was born on January 17, 1939 in Stamford, CT to parents Antonio and Jennie Rodrigues (Sabia). She passed away on March 5, 2021.

Marie graduated from Stamford HS in 1956. She met and fell in love with Edward Williams (d.1980) and proceeded to move to California where they had and raised their three children. They divorced in 1977. Marie found love again with Charles Pounds (d.1996) who was a Vietnam Veteran. Through Chuck she found her calling in helping veterans. She went to work for the D.A.V. as a Transportation Coordinator for nearly 30yrs, helping veterans get to their doctor appts. She was still working until the pandemic shut them down and her subsequent death.

Marie’s family was extremely important to her. She was the force that held our family together, and we are feeling a great loss without her. She leaves behind two sisters, Olivia Mennona and Joanne Rodrigues, her daughter, Kim Larson, two sons, Steven and Kenneth Williams, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter and her partner of the last 15 years, Lance King who passed three weeks before her from Covid.

Services will be held at Eternal Valley Memorial, 23287 N Sierra Hwy, Newhall, Ca on April 23rd at 1:00pm
