Firefighters gain control, halt progress of Agua Dulce blaze
Firefighters stopped forward progress on a 5-acre fire near the Vasquez Rocks Nature Area in Agua Dulce at 5:08 p.m. Saturday. The fire started at 4:07 p.m. and did not cause any injuries or threaten any structures, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department Supervisor Miguel Ornelas. Starting clockwise from the top, firefighters from the Los Angeles County Fire Department assisted personnel from the Angeles National Forest as they battled the brush fire that broke out along the Northbound lanes of Highway 14 near the Agua Dulce Canyon Road exit.
A firefighter from the San Bernardino National Forest assisted units, while Los Angeles County Fire Department aircraft assisted units on the ground.
