COC theater presents ‘Into the Woods’ April 22-May 1 (showtimes vary)
The Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center main stage will be transformed for the College of the Canyons theater department’s rendition of the beloved Broadway musical “Into the Woods.” Performances of the COC theater department’s production of “Into the Woods” will take place at 7 p.m. April 22 and 29 and April 23 and 30. Matinee performances will run at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 24, and May 1. General admission tickets are $12. COC students, children and seniors are $6. ‘Tears in the Eyes of My Enemy’ 7 p.m. April 28
Temple Beth Ami, 23023 Hilse Lane, Newhall Holocaust survivor and author Margot Webb is scheduled to share reflections from her new book, “Tears in the Eyes of My Enemy,” in commemoration of Yom Ha’Shoah, a Holocaust remembrance day, at Temple Beth Ami. Webb’s book shares the journey of a fictionalized version of herself who goes back to Germany, where her family had suffered during the Holocaust, to help educate the next generation of Germans. Wine on the Roof 6 p.m. Thursday, April 28
Canyon Country Community Center, 18410 Sierra Hwy, Santa Clarita
Presented by the WiSH Education Foundation, Wine on the Roof returns at the brand new Canyon Country Community Center’s Grand Room. The event will begin with “wine hour” where guests will enjoy appetizers and wine tasting while enjoying live music from the William S. Hart Union High School District jazz band. Afterward, guests will be treated to a seated, multi-course meal, each prepared by local chefs and paired with wines. The event is sold out, but volunteers are still welcome.
