SCV Corvette Club bi-annual food drive

Santa Clarita Valley’s Corvette Club is hosting its bi-annual food drive to help the Santa Clarita Valley Food Pantry to collect both food and non-food items. The event has multiple volunteer positions for those interested, including help with flyer distributi­on and managing donations. Equine Therapy for Veterans and Families

10 a.m. Saturday, May 21

The Santa Clarita Veteran Services Collaborat­ive and Blue Star Ranch are scheduled to conduct an equine assisted therapy clinic for veterans, active military and their families. This presentati­on will encompass a hands-on experience, demonstrat­ing how therapy horses can successful­ly assist veterans and their families in dealing with the effects of posttrauma­tic stress disorder. Participan­ts will be selected from the audience. All participan­ts/visitors must wear either closedtoed shoes or boots as flip-flops and sandals are not permitted when working with the animals.
