6 p.m. Feb. 26 The Canyon Theatre Guild presents a rockin’ tribute to the music and female singers of the 1960s. Follow eight women as they bring to life their memories of the music that shaped them. This jukebox musical includes hit songs from every genre, including, “My Boyfriend’s Back,” “To Sir With Love,” “Respect” and “Proud Mary.” The show pays tribute to every female singer, from iconic girl groups like the Supremes to legendary solo artists like Janis Joplin. On a spring day in 1839, scenic artist Louis Daguerre — whose daguerreot­ype would usher in the new world of photograph­y — and American telegraph inventor Samuel Morse meet for the first time at Daguerre’s studio in Paris. While demonstrat­ing their inventions to one another, they notice a silhouette­d figsure in one of Daguerre’s pictures and devise an outlandish scheme to identify the individual – the first human ever depicted in a photograph­ic image. Santa Clarita Preschool Fair

The annual family preschool resource fair returns to the Santa Clarita Valley. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the annual preschool fair was forced to close its doors to the January event. The preschool fair will be held indoors in the church’s Fellowship Hall. Parents who attend this free community event will have the opportunit­y to meet staff from the area’s preschools and family-friendly businesses. This event is open to the public and families are encouraged to bring their children so they can participat­e in the activities that are planned.
