The Canyon Theatre Guild presents a rockin’ tribute to the music and female singers of the 1960s. Follow eight women as they bring to life their memories of the music that shaped them. This jukebox musical includes hit songs from every genre, including, “My Boyfriend’s Back,” “To Sir With Love,” “Respect” and “Proud Mary.” The show pays tribute to every female singer, from iconic girl groups like the Supremes to legendary solo artists like Janis Joplin. Rancho Camulos Re-creation of ‘Ramona’ Author’s Visit

Rancho Camulos, 5164 E Telegraph Road, Fillmore In 1882, author Helen Hunt Jackson visited Rancho Camulos – a visit that inspired her to include this vestige of the California lifestyle as one of the settings for her novel “Ramona.” In this event, visitors can experience a re-creation of Jackson’s 1882 visit at Rancho Camulos, now a museum, where reenactors will portray an event that “forever changed the peaceful life at Rancho Camulos.” Docent tours will take place at 4 p.m. following the re-creation. City Hall Art Reception

City’s Youth Arts Showcase

Young artists are invited to submit an original work for a chance to be showcased during the event. The submission deadline is Friday, March 13. The annual Youth Arts Showcase celebrates the creativity of Santa Clarita Valley’s youth and students who display their talents in many discipline­s. Attendees will enjoy visual and performing arts, hands-on craft stations, youth art contests, the Youth Arts Gallery, arts education, food trucks and more.
