Vallely setting records at Muhlenberg College
The Oley Valley grad records her third triple-double of the season
Muhlenberg Col lege sophomore Brandi Vallely (Oley Valley 2014 grad) recorded her third triple-double in four games this season with 16 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds against Franklin & Marshall in a 78-50 win Nov. 25. Some interesting facts: • In the first 56 years of the Muhlenberg program, there were two triple-doubles. Vallely has topped that in four games this season.
• Since the NCAA began tracking triple-doubles in 2010-11, no Division III women’s player had more than two in a season.
• No Centennial Conference player ever had more than one triple-double since the formation of the league in 1993 until this year.
• Vallely was the first Di- vision III women’s player in three years to record backto-back triple-doubles - a feat no women’s player in any of the three NCAA divisions accomplished last year.
• With 47 assists in four games, Vallely is the only NCAA women’s player averaging in double figures at this early stage of the season.
There have been nine instances in Muhlenberg history of a player recording at least 11 assists in a game, and Vallely has four of them (three this year and one last year) in nine career games played.
• Vallely flirted with a quadruple- double in last night’s game - she had seven steals.
• Muhlenberg is 4-0 and has outscored its opponents by an average of 22.0 points per game.
