Schuylkill-Berks Legion League donates to vets

-

The Schuylkill- Berks and Lehigh Valley baseball leagues again donated the proceeds from their annual all-star game to the Lebanon VA Medical Center. Combining their donation with the donation from the game host, the Reading Fightin’s, the Center will have a total of $1,100 to the needs of its patients.

According to Jeremy Fees, Chief of Voluntary Services, the center has needs for day room furniture and accessories and “a lot of little things for Christmas presents to the patients”. We’re deeply grateful to the boys and the Fightin’s for their donation and hope to take the Fightin’s and the leagues up on their offer to attend next year’s game”.
