‘Iron Plantation Christmas’ showcases Christmas traditions

» Families enjoyed learning about holiday traditions through the years 1795 to 1880 at Hopewell Furnace’s ‘Iron Plantation Christmas’ event Saturday, Dec. 5. The event allowed visitors to observe simple Christmas activities of the time and visit with Der Belsnickel, a Santa-like character that has its roots in German folklore.
