Daniel Boone falls to TV, tops West Lawn

TWIN VALLEY 7, DANIEL BOONE 2 >> A four-run third inning was key to Twin Valley topping the Orioles in their Berks County League (East Division) matchup. Sean Bologa, Steve Williams, Brady Hayes and Brandon Clarke all hit safely for Boone, with Williams and Clarke driving in its second-inning runs. Jordan Goodrich took the pitching loss after 2-2/3 innings’ work.

June 9

TWINVALLEY 7, EXETER 4 >> Zack Rice doubled, drove in three runs, scored one and stole a base in the course of a 3-for- 4 game that keyed TV’s win over Exeter.

Jon Lach went 3-for-4 to head Exeter, which was held to six hits by Twin Valley pitchers Tyler Greenly and Joseph Storz. Chad Dreiling ended up Exeter’s losing pitcher, touched for six of TV’s runs in 1-1/3 innings. DANIEL BOONE6, WESTLAWN2>> Scoring three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, the Orioles broke away from West Lawn to claim victory in this Berks County League matchup.

Zuber, Bryant Schwoyer, Brett Goodrich and Christian Dekker all drove in Boone runs to support Nick Dinnocenti’s complete-game pitching. Dinnocenti held West Lawn to single runs in the fourth and sixth, with three strikeouts to his credit.

Held to just three hits, Shillingto­n was unable to counter the Bulldogs’ early run production in losing this Berks County League pairing.

Hunter Reeser, Earl Kochel and Zachary Wyrick did all Shillingto­n’s hitting, with Kochel driving in its lone run in the fifth. By then, Norchester built a 10-run lead with help from the 3-for- 4 batting of Riley McGinley and Josh Fulmer.
