The SRGA TrailKeepers: will hold a workday on the Thun Trail on Saturday, April 1at 9a.m. We will be happy for you to participate with whatever time you may have available. Meet at the trail head at Angstadt Road. Work to be done includes general trail maintenance and winter cleanup. Rain date will be Sunday, April. Contra Dancing : Birdsboro Contra Dance offers contra dancing on Saturday, April 1from 730to 10:30 p.m. at Birdsboro Community Memorial Center, 201E. Main St. in Birdsboro. Toddler Storytime: Wednesdays 10- 10:30a.m. for ages walking to 3years. Wewill enjoy stories, songs, finger plays and crafts as we sing and read together with friends. It is also held the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays from 10to 10:30a.m.
Sleepytime Story Time: All ages, Wednesdays, 7p.m. Designed for all ages. We discuss feelings, yoga is incorporated to each storytime and there are opportunities to earn rewards for reading books! The Clothing Closet is in the basement of our church and is held on the 2nd & 4th Saturday of each month from 10a.m. to noon. Each family will be allowed to shop free of charge for ONE BAG PER FAMILY for needed clothing this is a large bag and you may come from ANY township or boro. Everyone from local communities are welcome to benefit from this mission. DONATIONS ARE NEEDED -- Clean, stain free, smell free, current clothing (spring/summer) OTHER ACCEPTABLE ITEMS: kids items, toys, books, house hold items kitchen items, blankets, comforters, towels, rugs, small furniture, small appliances, clean rugs. PagodaWriters: The Pagoda Writers group gets together from 1 to 3p.m. the first Saturday of every month on the second floor of the Pagoda, 98Duryea Dr., Reading.
Stitching Circle: The Mifflin Community Library’s Evening Stitching Circle meets every Monday from 6:30-8p.m., and the Afternoon Stitching Circle meets every Wednesday from 1-3p.m. New members are always welcome and should bring their own materials. There are currently between 12-15 members who sew, knit and crochet. The group works on personal projects as well as service projects to benefit the community. Come join in loads of fun & stitching!
Writers group: Mifflin Writers Group continues to meet the 1st & 3rd Thursdays of the month from 6:30-8p.m. Mifflin Writers Group is composed of writers of all genres and levels of experience. Their purpose is to motivate, inspire, instruct, inform, share and critique each other in their writing efforts in a free flowing and relaxed atmosphere. Most programs encourage pre-registration and take place downstairs at the Mifflin Community Library unless otherwise noted.
