St. Teresa of Calcutta rises to the occasion

-

St. Teresa of Calcutta School proudly celebrates 10 years and an increase in student enrollment of nearly 10 percent this year.

Our 2017 National Blue Ribbon Award sets us apart from other Catholic schools. This recognition puts us in the top 15 percent of schools in the nation for academic excellence.

Our academic success together with our dedicated teaching staff and supportive learning environment makes for a desirable school community. This prestigious award affirms the hard work of our students, teachers, families and the community as a whole.

At St. Teresa of Calcutta School, we foster the love of learning in all areas. This is most evident in the nearly 50 percent increase of student enrollment in band lessons this year. We offer band lessons to students in third through eighth grade. Third-grade students can choose from violin or cello. Our fourth- to eighth-grade students have the option of violin, cello, trombone, trumpet, flute

or percussion. Lessons are offered twice a week with a winter and spring recital that is sure to impress. Our music program enables students to discover their talents which can last a lifetime.

Through the assistance of the Office of Catholic Education, we offer the Bishop’s Tuition Transfer Grant. Eligible families seeking a Catholic education can transfer from public, private and charter schools to St. Teresa of Calcutta. The grant has assisted us in growing our enrollment and helps new families transition smoothly into our Catholic school community.

At St. Teresa of Calcutta School, we partner with families to help all students achieve academically, spiritually, emotionally and socially. We are immersed in a community that continues to develop and flourish. We are committed to creating faith-filled learners with the skills necessary to face the challenges of the 21st century.

Our school is located at 256 Swamp Pike, Schwenksville in Limerick Township.
