Po­lice search for driver who struck 6-year-old girl

EX­ETER >> Po­lice are ask­ing for the pub­lic’s help in iden­ti­fy­ing the driver of a ve­hi­cle that struck a 6-year-old girl as she was get­ting off a school bus.

Ex­eter [olice said in a post Oct. 16 that they are cur­rently in­ves­ti­gat­ing a hit-and-run that sent a 6-year-old girl to the hos­pi­tal.

Po­lice said at around 4 p.m., a 6-year-old child was ex­it­ing her school bus in the area of West 47th and Oak Park­way when a red SUV be­lieved to be an Acura MDX with par­tial Penn­syl­va­nia li­cense plate KDX ran through the bus stop sign and blink­ing red lights. The SUV struck the girl, send­ing her to the hos­pi­tal. The SUV then fled the scene.

Po­lice are now try­ing to iden­tify the driver and are ask­ing for the pub­lic’s help. Any­one with in­for­ma­tion on the hit-and-run is asked to con­tact Ex­eter po­lice at 610-779-1490 for case #18-5053.
