Daniel Boone Homestead hosts Christkindl­mar­ket

The Friends of the Daniel Boone Homestead will be hold­ing its third an­nual Christkindl­mar­ket at the Daniel Boone Homestead on Dec. 7 and 8 from 4 to 9 p.m.

The site will be dec­o­rated with Christ­mas lights and greens and will fea­ture lo­cal crafters sell­ing their hand-crafted wares, con­ces­sions, wine tast­ing, raf­fles, warm­ing fires and tra­di­tional hol­i­day mu­sic, plus a visit from St. Nick­laus and Kram­pus. A Ger­man Christ­mas, as seen through the eyes of the DeTurk fam­ily, will de­light vis­i­tors as they visit the his­toric house.

Ad­mis­sion is $7 per adult; 12 and un­der are free.

The Daniel Boone Homestead is lo­cated at 400 Daniel Boone Road, Ex­eter Town­ship, right off Route 422 east.
