Branches of Dance to present ‘The Nutcracker’

- From Ali Perzel

Branches of Dance is proud to announce its first production of The Nutcracker on Dec. 15 at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. at Wyomissing Junior/Senior High School. Branches of Dance have brought together a cast of 40 dancers from ages 6 to adults from Berks, Schuylkill and Lancaster counties. Branches of Dance is a small studio with big dreams. Our dancers wanted to put on the show and we needed more performers. So, in June we held auditions and invited dancers to come be a part of our show. It has been beautiful to watch new friendships form and for the dancers to learn from one another. Fifteen thousand rhinestones, 75 costumes, and 150 hours of rehearsal brings you one amazing show.

Branches Of Dance is a hosting a Tea Party at the studio as a fundraiser for the show. Spend a magical day in the “Land of Sweets” with The Sugar Plum Fairy and her friends from Branches of Dance’s The Nutcracker on Sunday, Dec. 9, at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. at Branches of Dance. For young ladies and gentlemen 3-years-old and older $10 per ticket (only the child needs a ticket parents are free). Ticket Package Includes Tea Party with Refreshments, Interactive Story Time with the Cast, Nutcracker Keepsake, Photo Opportunities, Crafts with Cast, and a Sneak Peak Mini Performance by The Cast. It’s a great way to get into the holiday spirit.
