Homicide victim found on Mount Penn
Authorities have identified the body of a suspected homicide victim found Monday afternoon, Oct. 25, in a park on Mount Penn.
Central Berks Regional Police Chief Ray Serafin identified the victim as Anthony Delcollo, 28, of Exeter Township.
Berks County acting Coroner Jonn M. Hollenbach said an autopsy is scheduled for Thursday evening in Reading Hospital.
Police were called to Rotary Park in Lower Alsace Township on Monday, Oct. 25, about 2:40 p.m. after someone passing by on List Road spotted the body, District Attorney John T. Adams said Monday. The body was on a paved area about 20 feet off the road.
Adams said it’s clear Delcollo’s death was a homicide.
The incident is being investigated by detectives from the district attorney’s office and the Central Berks Regional Po
lice Department.
Central Berks Police Chief Raymond Serafin said Tuesday that the investigation remains quite active, but he declined to elaborate.
