SUV crashes into home

A Douglassville man was injured when the SUV he was driving crashed into the side of a house at Limekiln Road and Route 422 in Amity Township late Thursday, police said.

Raymond Rivera Santiago, 41, was taken by ambulance to Reading Hospital for treatment of unspecified injures after the one-vehicle crash about 10:30 p.m. Information on his medical condition wasn’t immediately available.

Amity police said Rivera Santiago was traveling south on Limekiln when the SUV drifted across the opposite lane and into the side of the occupied home. No one in the house was injured, and the building did not appear to sustain any structural damage.

Fire and rescue crews responded.
