St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Route 73 and Neiffer Road, Obelisk

Nov. 28: The Rev. Christian McMullan will conduct the 8 a.m. Holy Communion and 10:15a.m. worship services in the church. The first Sunday of Advent will be celebrated. All are welcome. Attendees must wear a mask and practice social distancing of at least 6feet. We will not be singing as we are accustomed to. Please do not attend services if you feel sick. Weekly services are also offered online via the St. Luke’s Obelisk YouTube Channel. It is our hope and prayer that everyone stays safe and well during these difficult times.

Christ Lutheran Church, 222 Niantic Road, Barto Nov. 28: worship on the First Sunday of Advent with a Holy Communion worship service at 9a.m. Pastor Matthew Finney will be leading the congregati­on in the worship service and preaching the sermon. Our assistant for the 9 a.m. service will be Terry Flicker and our Greeter/Usher is Jim and Kay Barr. Altar Guild this morning will be Diane and Bruce Houck and Counting Team is “A”. Prior to the worship service, Coffee & Conversati­on will be held at 8:30 in the Welcome Center and then after worship there will be Coffee & Conversati­on as well. The Adult Sunday School Bible Class will be held in the parlor after the worship service. The Confirmati­on class will meet in social hall at 10:15 a.m. As per the CDC guidelines for indoor gatherings and as discussed at last month’s Council meeting, it is recommende­d that parishione­rs wear a mask when entering the church, during worship and upon leaving.

Angel Tree project for Boyertown Area Multi Service: Remove a tag from the Tree and purchase that gift. Return gift unwrapped. Wrapping paper and gift bags may be included with your gift. Please put the tag with your gift. Drop off gift before Dec. 12.

PJ Project: donate gently used or new pajamas or sweatpants for children and adults. All sizes male/ female appreciate­d. Also fill Boyertown Area MultiServi­ce Elf Bags for needy families for Christmas Eve with family games for older children, monetary donation, hot chocolate packets and microwave popcorn packet. Place donations in box in the Narthex.

Reverse Advent Calendar: In Cooperatio­n with the Boyertown Area Multi-Service, we will be collecting items needed for their Food Pantry during the Christmas season until Dec. 24. Drop off items in the box in the Narthex. No Scout Hoagie Sales in December

WAWA Hoagie Coupons: available 1st Sunday of the month at the Scrip Table and in the church office Monday to Thursday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for $4. This project benefits the Social Ministry.
