Based on the work of Charles Dickens and reimagined and directed by Jody Reppert, this classic tale of humor, kindness and the Christmas spirit features live music and a cast of all ages.

Featuring music and carols, this is a traditional retelling of the classic story of how Ebenezer Scrooge feels about Christmas — until the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future decide to show the crotchety old miser the error of his ways.

Mastrobuono co-founded Lancaster’s CoMotion Theater, a theater rooted in devised works employing movement techniques, with colleague Camilla Schade. She was co-artistic director there for seven years.

Mastrobuono taught workshops at Yocum in her specialty, Commedia dell’Arte, a quasi-improvised, highly physical comedy of the Italian renaissance. She appeared in Yocum’s touring production of “Charlotte’s Web” as narrator, and directed the Joel Gori in “Balloonacy.”

The cast also features Oliver Houck as Ghost of Christmas Past, Stephen Stankiewicz as Ghost of Christmas Present, Amy Shea as Jacob Marley, Bill Eschbach and Amy Shea as Bob and Mrs. Cratchit. The Cratchit Children are Priella Lenzi, Emilio Serio, Ava O’Brien, Julia Noll, Nadyha Toledo, and Vivica Maddox as Tiny Tim.

Syd Watts and Karyn Reppert portray Mr. and Mrs. Fezziwig while Travis Murray and Katie Werner portray Nephew Fred and His Wife Mary. Ben Small is Young Scrooge and Morgan Reppert is Belle. Paul Head is Scrooge as a boy and Cami Conner is his sister Fran.

The show also features Sandi Trait, Barbi Conner, Tyler Reppert, Quentin Brendlinger, Quentin Brendlinger, Maggie Angstadt, Priella Lenzi, Charlie Comeau, Alexandra Nicholson, Stephen Stankiewicz, Mary Stankiewicz and Sophia DeLong on the fiddle.

The production is supported by Reading Music Foundation.
