History Talk with Bob Wood

“The Warming Fire:” 1to 2 p.m. at Studio B Art Gallery, 39A E. Philadelph­ia Ave., Boyertown. Historian Bob Wood gives an illustrate­d talk on the developmen­t of enclosed heating stoves and smoke-free rooms in the Germanic region of early Europe and Pennsylvan­ia.

Fit and Fabulous Wednesdays:

9a.m. at Birdsboro Community Memorial Center. Exercise class for seniors to improve balance, strength, flexibilit­y, and overall mobility while moving to music. Taught by a licensed physical therapist. Chairs provided. Exercises customized to fit ability. Free for members. Birdsboro Senior Group: meets the first and third Thursday of each month at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 5Brooke Manor in Birdsboro. Doors open at 9a.m. Anyone age 55and older from the Birdsboro area welcome. Bingo on first Thursday and craft on third Thursday, both start at 9:30a.m. A home cooked meal is served at noon. Transporta­tion is available if needed; call the church office at 610-582-8167 to make arrangemen­ts.
