May 15: Pastor Barbara Pence will conduct 8a.m. Holy Communion service in the church and the Praise band, “Messenger” will conduct the 10:15a.m. service in the Fellowship Hall. All are welcome. All church service attendees required to wear a mask and practice social distancing of at least 6feet if not vaccinated. Masks are optional for those who are vaccinated. Please do not attend services if you feel sick. Weekly services are also offered online via the St. Luke’s Obelisk YouTube Channel.

CHRIST LUTHERAN CHURCH, 222 NIANTIC ROAD, BARTO

May 15: worship on this Fifth Sunday of Easter with a worship service at 9a.m. Rev. Matthew Finney will lead worship and present the sermon. At the 9a.m. service worship helpers will be open — acolyte; Diane Houck — lector; open — Assisting Minister and our Greeter/Usher are open. Altar Guild this morning will be Kay and Jim Barr and Counting Team is “D”. Prior to the worship service, Coffee & Conversati­on will be held at 8:30in the Welcome Center and then again after worship at 10:15a.m. Adult Sunday School will be held in the parlor following the worship service at 10:15a.m. The Confirmati­on class will meet in room E for class at 10:15a.m.

May 18: Handbell Choir rehearses at 6:30p.m. and Senior Choir rehearses at 7:30 p.m.

May 21: Pastor Matt’s office hours 10a.m. to 1p.m. The Confirmati­on Retreat will be from 8a.m. to 6p.m.

Summer Worship Schedule: starts June 5with 9a.m. Worship Service. There will be no Contempora­ry Worship Service or Sunday School during June, July and August.

June 5: Graduate Recognitio­n Sunday, call the church office and let us know of any members, friends, or loved ones who are graduating from high school, college, graduate school, basic training or any other academic or career training program.

Sundaes for Childhood Cancer: $5 per wearable sundae (not edible) with a surprise inside. Available every Sunday in May or until sold out. Also yellow cancer ribbon pins for $2. Social Ministry of Trinity also accepts monetary donations.

Thrivent T-Shirts: various sizes and designs on the table in the Parish Hall. Take as many as like.

Scout Troop 511 Hoagies: sales on 3rd Tuesday of the month. Place orders on 2nd Tuesday. $5.50each for ham, turkey, Italian or cheese with lettuce, onion, tomato, sides hot peppers or sweet peppers, Italian or mayo packets. To volunteer and to order as a new person, see Kitty Isett. Pick up will be at the old store every month.

WAWA Hoagie Coupons: Available 1st Sunday of the month at the Scrip Table and in the church office Monday to Thursday, 9a.m. to 2p.m. Tickets $4. Project benefits the Social Ministry.

PJ Project: donate gently used or new pajamas or sweatpants for children and adults all sizes male and female. Place in box in the Narthex.

In Ian’s Boots: donate used sporting equipment for needy children and youth developmen­t programs both here and around the world.
