March 12: Pastor Amy Smith will lead the 8a.m. Holy Communion and 10:15a.m. worship services. Masks are optional for those who are vaccinated, although they are recommende­d. We require all church service attendees to wear a mask and practice social distancing of at least 6feet if not vaccinated. Please do not attend services if you feel sick. March 12: 9a.m. service will be led by Rev. Matthew Finney, who will also be presenting the sermon on this the Third Sunday in Lent. The Handbell Choir will be playing “What Wondrous Love Is This” during the prelude. Coffee & Conversati­on will be held at 8:30and 10a.m. in the Welcome Center. The Adult Sunday School class will be held at 10a.m. in the parlor. Confirmati­on Class will meet in room I at 10a.m. Assistants for the morning worship are Acolyte — open; Lector — Nancy Fioriglio; Assisting Minister — open; and Greeters/Ushers — Shirley and Merle Deery. Altar Guild is Chershe Derr and the Counting team is Team A for the month of March. Pastor Matt Finney’s office hours will be Friday, March 17 from 10a.m. to 1p.m.

March 14: the April Niantic News newsletter articles are due into the church office. Then at 9:30a.m., Quilt Tying will be held in the social hall followed by Ladies Lunch participan­ts meeting in the parking lot at 11:30a.m. to car pool to Chino’s in Zionsville for a noon lunch.

At 7:30p.m., the Finance committee will meet in the Welcome Center.

March 15: We will join the members of St. Paul’s Lutheran at St. Paul’s, Sassamansv­ille for the mid-week Lent service at 6p.m. for a soup supper (sign-up, please) and then at 7p.m. for the service. The Senior Choir will rehearse at 7:45p.m.

March 16: Handbell Choir will rehearse at 7p.m.

March 12: We welcome Rev. Britta Carlson as our visiting pastor as she leads us in worship on the Third Sunday of Lent at our 9:30a.m. service. Joe Vendetti will serve as lector. Communion will be celebrated. The gospel lesson for the day is John 4:5-42, where we remember the baptismal image of the woman at the well.

Midweek Lenten Services: will be held each Wednesday in Lent, beginning at 7p.m. We will worship with Holden Evening Prayer, with a short lesson by our interim pastor, Rev. Dr. Susie Folks.

Trinity Roast Beef Event: April 29, take out only, pick up 11a.m. to 4p.m. The menu consists of roast beef, au jus, potato filling, and pepper cabbage and a dinner roll. The dessert included will be cookies The price per dinner will be $14. Tickets will be sold at the Church Office on a first come, first served basis, Monday to Thursday, 10a.m. to 1p.m. No ticket reservatio­ns will be taken.

Donation Drive: The church is collecting non-perishable items for the Boyertown Area Food Pantry during Lent. A box is placed in the Narthex for your donations.

Soup Suppers: 6p.m. each Wednesday during Lent prior to the 7p.m. Worship Service.

First Communion Classes: 6:15 p.m. and will continue each Wednesday during Lent. Anyone age 10or older who has not yet received their first communion is eligible to participat­e in these classes. See Pastor Zaiser.

Easter Flowers: envelopes for ordering Easter Flowers are available in the Narthex. List your name and include all required informatio­n. Prices $9for Lilies, Hyacinths, Tulips, and Daffodils Order envelopes can be placed in offering plate or sent to the church office. Deadline is March 26.

Homemade Easter Candy: $14 a pound, $7a half pound for (Milk & Dark Chocolate) Peanut Butter, Coconut Cream, Butter Cream. Sign up sheet posted in the Narthex. Last day for orders is March 26. Pick up is March 26 to April 2. See Maddy Wyda.

Oley Lutheran Cluster Bread, Bowl and Bible: March 12and 19from 3to 6 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 45 N. Reading Ave., Boyertown. Dinner is included with options included for gluten-free, vegetarian and kosher diets. There will be a free-will offering. Volunteers are needed for March 19 to bring soup. The theme is “Hope — through Lament to Resilience.” WAWA Hoagie Coupons: Available 1st Sunday of the month at the Scrip Table and in the church office Monday to Thursday, 9a.m. to 2p.m. Tickets are $4. This project benefits the Social Ministry.

Scout Troop 511Hoagies: The sales will be the 3rd Tuesday of the month. Place orders on the 2nd Tuesday. The price is $6each. There is ham, turkey, Italian or cheese with lettuce, onion, tomato, sides hot peppers or sweet peppers, Italian or mayo packets. To volunteer and to order as a new person, see Kitty Isett. Pick up will be at the old store every month.

In Ian’s Boots: donate used sporting equipment (used cleats, balls, pads, guards, gently used shoes and boots) for needy children and youth developmen­t programs both here and around the world.

Boyertown Junior Woman’s Club “Once Upon a Prom”: March 11and 12from 12to 4p.m. at the Boyertown YMCA now located at 301W. Spring Street. Any junior or senior high school girl in need of a special occasion dress is welcome to come browse a collection of over 600dresses, in all sizes, plus accessorie­s. All girls are invited to take a dress or two home for a small donation which benefits our local community.
