- Phyllis Arbon Smith, beloved wife, mother and grandmothe­r passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on May 21 2024. Phyllis was born on October 8 1935 in Tremonton, Utah to Kenneth and Lois Arbon. She spent her early life growing up in Snowville, Utah where she met and married Clarence R. Smith on April 16 1953 and together they raised three daughters in Escondido, California.

Phyllis was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various callings to the auxiliarie­s to the Priesthood in Relief Society and Young Women.

Phyllis loved all types of handiwork, especially knitting and felt embroidery. Family and friends all over the world were lucky recipients of her beautiful work that will live on through them. Her interests included golf and sport fishing in Alaska where she landed a 160 lb. halibut.

Most of all, Phyllis loved and devoted herself to her family, who will forever be privileged to call her wife, mother, grandmothe­r, great-grandmothe­r and sister. Her legacy of love will live on through them.

Phyllis is survived by her husband of 71 years, (Clarence), her daughters, (Debbie), (Patti) and (Annette), her grandchild­ren, Corey,(Sarah), Brad,(Cherali), Chad,(Eddie), Taylor,(Andrew), Jenna and Matt, her great-grandchild­ren, Ethan, Averi, Dexter, Jonah, Ivy, Sully, Miles, Jasper, Cannon, Ava and Kiera.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, May 30 2024 at Allen Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Logan, Utah 84321 from 9:30 am to 10:30am. A graveside service will be held in her honor at Logan Cemetery, 1000 North 1200 East Logan, Utah at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite charity.
