Keep Polk Beautiful is seeking volunteers to participate in Rivers Alive from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 27, at Sam Jones Memorial Park in Rockmart.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided and the first 200 volunteers will receive a free t-shirt.

Homecoming will be held at New Prospect Baptist Church, 750 Prospect Road, Rockmart, at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, July 13.

Special singers will include The Zion Quartet. Lunch will be served at noon and singing will resume after the meal.

Pastor Larry Davis invites everyone to attend.

Vacation Bible School will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. July 7 through July 11 at Friendly Baptist Church, located at 67 Friendly Baptist Church Road in Cedartown.

Classes will be available for all ages.

Fun activities are planned for the kickoff on Saturday, July 5. For more information, call 706-2666494. Pastor is Randy Vines and all are welcome to attend.

The second annual Ride for the Kids to benefit the Shriners Hospitals will be held on July 12.

The event begins at the Rockmart Masonic Lodge. Registration will be held from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. All bikers are welcome.
