The Standard Journal - - Police -

Police are experiencing dips and turns in their investigation of a roller coaster theft.

Officers were called to Cason road on June 20 to meet with a man who said someone took several pieces of a roller coaster from his property.

The roller coaster owner investigated prior to calling police and told officers a possible suspect may have taken the metal to a Rockmart recycling center. The metal was not recovered.

The pieces of metal were an unknown num- ber of tracks with rails and an unknown number of motors to operate the ride. The motors are valued at $5,000 each and the tracks with rails are valued between $2,000 and $5,000, reports said.
