Mrs. Tillery
Mrs. Doris M. Tillery, age 86, of Cedartown, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2014.
Mrs. Tillery was born on Oct. 5, 1927 in Polk County to her parents, the late Harvey E. and Mary McCoy Morris.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Howard F. Tillery; her sisters, Mildred Tanner and Ann Baxter; her brother, Charles Morris and two grandsons, Charlie Tillery and Craig Tillery. Mrs. Tillery was a proud member of the Southside Baptist Church.
She is survived by her loving family, her sons and daughters in law, Phil and Terry Tillery, Ronnie and Carol J. Tillery, Rocky and Patty Tillery and Scotty and Ann Marie Tillery; her daughters and sons in law, Diane and Marvin Cheatwood, Becky and Dewey Rutledge and Robyn and Benny Hubbard; her special, loving care giver, Virginia Jeann Monti; her grandchildren, Angie and Tracy Robinson, Keith and Nikki Cheatwood, Stacey and Timmy Little, Todd and Brigitte Tillery, Amy Tillery, Lisa Pruitt, Fran and Andy Davis, Wesley Tillery, Johna and Parker Tidwell, Julie Rutledge, Joy and Drew Robinson, Breck Tillery, Joshua Hubbard, Jordan Hubbard, Jacob Hubbard, Russell Tillery, Meghan Guice and Clayton Tillery; twenty two great grandchildren, one great- great- grandchild, nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Doris M. Tillery were held on Friday, June 6, 2014 at 2 p.m. from the Sanctuary of the First Baptist Church of Cedartown with the Rev. Wayne Benefield and Mr. Wayne Weaver officiating.
Interment followed in the family lot of the Northview Cemetery with the Rev. Joel A. Smith conducting committal services at graveside. The family received friends on Friday, June 6, 2014 in the Sanctuary of the First Baptist Church of Cedartown.
The family has lovingly and respectfully requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to either the: Southside Baptist Church, P.O. Box 478, Cedartown, Ga., 30125 or to the First Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 101 N. College Street, Cedartown, Ga., 30125.
Mrs. Tillery’s grandsons will serve as Pallbearers and her grandchildren and great grandchildren will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
