Mrs. Doris M. Tillery, age 86, of Cedar­town, passed away on Wed­nes­day, June 4, 2014.

Mrs. Tillery was born on Oct. 5, 1927 in Polk County to her par­ents, the late Har­vey E. and Mary McCoy Mor­ris.

In ad­di­tion to her par­ents, she was also pre­ceded in death by her hus­band, Mr. Howard F. Tillery; her sis­ters, Mil­dred Tan­ner and Ann Bax­ter; her brother, Charles Mor­ris and two grand­sons, Char­lie Tillery and Craig Tillery. Mrs. Tillery was a proud mem­ber of the South­side Bap­tist Church.

She is sur­vived by her lov­ing fam­ily, her sons and daugh­ters in law, Phil and Terry Tillery, Ron­nie and Carol J. Tillery, Rocky and Patty Tillery and Scotty and Ann Marie Tillery; her daugh­ters and sons in law, Diane and Marvin Cheatwood, Becky and Dewey Rutledge and Robyn and Benny Hub­bard; her spe­cial, lov­ing care giver, Vir­ginia Jeann Monti; her grand­chil­dren, Angie and Tracy Robin­son, Keith and Nikki Cheatwood, Stacey and Timmy Lit­tle, Todd and Brigitte Tillery, Amy Tillery, Lisa Pruitt, Fran and Andy Davis, Wes­ley Tillery, Johna and Parker Tid­well, Julie Rutledge, Joy and Drew Robin­son, Breck Tillery, Joshua Hub­bard, Jordan Hub­bard, Ja­cob Hub­bard, Rus­sell Tillery, Meghan Guice and Clay­ton Tillery; twenty two great grand­chil­dren, one great- great- grand­child, nieces and neph­ews also sur­vive.

Fu­neral ser­vices for Mrs. Doris M. Tillery were held on Fri­day, June 6, 2014 at 2 p.m. from the Sanc­tu­ary of the First Bap­tist Church of Cedar­town with the Rev. Wayne Bene­field and Mr. Wayne Weaver of­fi­ci­at­ing.

In­ter­ment fol­lowed in the fam­ily lot of the Northview Ceme­tery with the Rev. Joel A. Smith con­duct­ing com­mit­tal ser­vices at grave­side. The fam­ily re­ceived friends on Fri­day, June 6, 2014 in the Sanc­tu­ary of the First Bap­tist Church of Cedar­town.

The fam­ily has lov­ingly and re­spect­fully re­quested that in lieu of flow­ers me­mo­rial con­tri­bu­tions be made to ei­ther the: South­side Bap­tist Church, P.O. Box 478, Cedar­town, Ga., 30125 or to the First Bap­tist Church Me­mo­rial Fund, 101 N. Col­lege Street, Cedar­town, Ga., 30125.

Mrs. Tillery’s grand­sons will serve as Pall­bear­ers and her grand­chil­dren and great grand­chil­dren will serve as Hon­orary Pall­bear­ers.
