Mrs. Wheeler

Emily “Emme” Jo Wheeler of Snellville, age 66, passed away June 24, 2014.

She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Bobby Wheeler, son Rusty and Lisa Wheeler, son Ken Wheeler and Doug Blue, grandchildren Katie, Jamie, Jake and Jesse Wheeler, an extended family of close friends and countless sons and daughters that she happily collected throughout her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents Joe and Ruby Cox of Cedartown and son Joey Wheeler.

Emme was born in Rome on July 1, 1947, and lived in Cedartown and Mableton during her younger years. She attended Campbell High School in Smyrna. She and her family moved to Snellville in 1977 where she raised her 3 sons, helped raise her grandchildren and many more who found their way through her kitchen door.

Emme’s open arms, open heart and warm smile was always welcoming to any and all. Everyone she met became family.

A Celebration of Emme’s life was held on Friday, June 27, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Eternal Hills Funeral Home. The family will received-friends on Thursday evening at Eternal Hills Funeral Home in Snellville.
