The sixth an­nual Prospect Val­ley Golf League has come to an ex­cit­ing end.

This year Matthew Thoma­son was the league win­ner while Hai­ley Brog­don was the best fe­male win­ner, ac­cord­ing to league or­ga­nizer Leeanne Fer­gu­son.

In the cham­pi­onship flight at the end of the sea­son tour­na­ment, Thoma­son took first place. He also was the long­est driver win­ner and a team chal­lenge win­ner. Brog­don placed sec­ond be­hind Thoma­son and she was the putting chal­lenge win­ner.

In the first flight, Dal­ton Brook­shire took top hon­ors. He was also a team chal­lenge win­ner and the points win­ner. Ron­nie Cothran placed sec­ond and Keins­ley Hous­ton came in third place.

In the sec­ond flight, Davis Sproull won first place and he won the clos­est to the pin con­test. Jordan Cothran came in sec­ond and Joey Gore fin­ished in third.

Dur­ing the par­ent/player ban­quet, par­tic­i­pants re­ceived awards and prizes, as well as gift bags filled with var­i­ous golf items and other fun stuff,” Fer­gu­son said, while not­ing each par­tic­i­pant re­ceived a 2014 Prop­sect Val­ley Golf Club Ju­nior Golf League t-shirt.

“We want to give a spe­cial thank you to our vol­un­teer coaches Harry Brant­ley, Tommy Atkins and Dave Fer­gu­son,” Fer­gu­son said.
