The sixth annual Prospect Valley Golf League has come to an exciting end.

This year Matthew Thomason was the league winner while Hailey Brogdon was the best female winner, according to league organizer Leeanne Ferguson.

In the championsh­ip flight at the end of the season tournament, Thomason took first place. He also was the longest driver winner and a team challenge winner. Brogdon placed second behind Thomason and she was the putting challenge winner.

In the first flight, Dalton Brookshire took top honors. He was also a team challenge winner and the points winner. Ronnie Cothran placed second and Keinsley Houston came in third place.

In the second flight, Davis Sproull won first place and he won the closest to the pin contest. Jordan Cothran came in second and Joey Gore finished in third.

During the parent/player banquet, participan­ts received awards and prizes, as well as gift bags filled with various golf items and other fun stuff,” Ferguson said, while noting each participan­t received a 2014 Propsect Valley Golf Club Junior Golf League t-shirt.

“We want to give a special thank you to our volunteer coaches Harry Brantley, Tommy Atkins and Dave Ferguson,” Ferguson said.
