8-and-under Tsunami win big in Panama City
A mixed group of youngsters from Rockmart, Cedartown, Rome, Euharlee and Dallas all played together to go undefeated in a tournament in Panama City Beach, Florida to end June.
According to coach Jeff Bailey, the 8-and-under Tsunami went undefeated in the weeklong tournament, allowing just 13 runs by opponents the entire week.
“The majority of these kids have been playing togheter for 4 years or more,” Bailey said.
The team includes: Treylin Davis, Jake Bailey, Hunter Atkins, Nyreon Cooper, Tony Ware, Steven Gregory, Cole Dingler, Xavier Holliday, Reilly Peace, Calvin Scott Jr, and Kwadrus Wilson.
Coach Keylon Davis said the team will be holding tryouts on July 12 at the Nathan Dean Sports Complex in Rockmart from 3 to 5 p.m.
