Hobby Lobby expects Sept. opening in Rome
OKLAHOMA CITY — Hobby Lobby officials say they expect to open their Rome store in September.
Construction and renovations have begun on the 49,000 square-foot building formerly occupied by Club Fitness, located at Shorter Avenue and Horseleg Creek Road in the MidTown Crossing shopping center.
“We are excited to bring our unique store to the community,” stated John Schumacher, assistant vice president of advertising.
The store will bring about 35 to 50 jobs to the community — paying $15 per hour for full-time and $10 per hour for part-time associates. Store hours are Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. All Hobby Lobby stores are closed on Sundays.
This is the privately held national craft and home decor chain’s 30th location in Georgia.
